weighed down - a quick poem by snaps

I'm kind of new to poetry, but I want to challenge myself to write it more and share it after I write it. I figured Patreon would be a great place to do this.

During an online poetry class I was challenged to write a poem about clouds. Here it is. Hope you enjoy.

------------

Raise your eyes to the heavens
Witness how the curvy wisps of atmosphere cling to each other with ever shifting forms
Their appearance resembles freedom
They have no choices to make
The wind chooses for them
Yet
They feel
Burdened
They’re dark, grainy and colored like wet concrete
Heavy with the weight of what they have been told to collect
Eventually, as it always does
It will rain
And they will be released from their task
If only for a time
