new series for bi-weekly video chats - the four noble truths

Hey everyone!

Our next series in the mindfulness group is going to be a deep and spacious dive into The Four Noble Truths, using Phillip Moffitt’s book Dancing with Life as a loose guide.

This teaching is one of the core frameworks in Buddhism for understanding why we suffer and how we can move toward greater freedom. But what makes this series extra juicy is that we’ll also be exploring the Three Insights associated with each Noble Truth. These insights help us move beyond just understanding the teachings on an intellectual level and into actually living and experiencing them.

We’re going to take our time with this one. Each Noble Truth will span four sessions: one to explore the Truth itself, and three to look at the insights that help us relate to it more deeply.

Here’s the general layout:

  • Session 1: Overview of the Four Noble Truths and how they connect to mindfulness

  • Sessions 2–5: The First Noble Truth (what it is, followed by the Three Insights)

  • Sessions 6–9: The Second Noble Truth & Three Insights

  • Sessions 10–13: The Third Noble Truth & Three Insights

  • Sessions 14–17: The Fourth Noble Truth & Three Insights

This book has been a powerful resource for me, and I’m excited to explore these teachings together in a way that’s grounded, personal, and accessible. As always, there will be space for reflection, practice, discussion, and whatever arises along the way.
