s.h.a.d.e.s. for self care book

After many years of teaching mindfulness and mental health practices to our community, I finally put together everything I wish someone had told me when I was struggling with insomnia, anxiety, depression and people-ing, in general.

S.H.A.D.E.S. is intended to be a practical guide to:

  • Sleep (getting actual rest, not just lying there while your mind goes brrr)

  • Hydration (why not drink water right now?)

  • Air (getting your butt outside)

  • Diet (not dietING, just mindful eating without the shame)

  • Exercise (finding movement you enjoy)

  • Stillness (meditation, journaling, and giving your sweet ol' brain a break)

This isn't a guide to optimize everything for the sake of productivity and work. Those of you who have been around know we aim for an 80/20 approach - showing up for yourself most of the time while still having room for pizza, late nights, and being a beautiful and weird human creature.

You'll be getting 43 pages of practical tips, science-backed info, and (hopefully) relatable information that I believe will give you tools that can help you to get started on KINDLY adjusting your habits and routines so they are more supportive of your needs and goals.

This framework has helped me and countless community members over the years. I hope it helps you too.
