sneak peek of the family photo (for twitch subs) in progress

I’ve decided this month’s family photo (collage based on Twitch subs) will be focused on the ecosystem of the pollinators out here in Arizona.

At the end of the month, I’ll get a shot of the finished collage and I’ll sell prints of it on Fourthwall - 100% of the proceeds will go towards supporting a nonprofit that takes care of the pollinators. (I have one picked out but I’m on my phone and don’t have it with me.)

Once we hit 1000 subs on Twitch, I’ll start donating a portion of my sub revenue to the nonprofits we feature each month for the family photo.

Anyway, I’m really excited for how this is going to give me so many opportunities to be creative and to practice art.

Today I wanted to get the main poster ready, and then start workin on the icons for the individual subs.

Here’s what I’ve got so far - it’s my attempt at drawing milkweed because apparently butterflies - especially monarchs LOVE these and need them for reproduction!

I tried sketching one real quick based on a reference photo and then tried to make 3 decent ones that I’ll be cutting out to use for the collage.

Excited for more chances to practice & excited to share with the stream tomorrow.
